Chapter 5.1: For The Trees

It’s all fun and games until you’re being ordered to eat out your girlfriend before the food gets cold. And who would we be to not oblige?

We make it to dinner before my cozy little plan gets ripped apart by raw want. What surprises me the most is that it’s Angie’s. While Billy might be a terrible baker, he knows enough about savory cooking to allow us to pull together a lavish final dinner. Angie watches like she normally does, eyes trailing our every move. We almost finish cooking too, taste testing the sauce for the freshly made pasta with a low hum of approval. Billy loves it, astonished that it came from our hands, and maybe makes a little show of licking the spoon perfectly clean. We think it’s just a silly goof and the sauce really is good, capturing a nuance I don’t think either of us could have managed alone.

It’s all fun and games until you’re being ordered to eat out your girlfriend before the food gets cold. And who would we be to not oblige? I’ll never get tired of being able to lift her onto the counter then dragging her down into a bruising kiss as I tangle a hand into her hair and she slips her hands under our shirt to drag her nails over our body. Judging by how hard we’re getting, Billy adores the sensation.

I have to let him take control of our hands so we can get in her jeans, wiggling them down to her ankles. But once he does, our hands are everywhere. Gliding over a hip to squeeze her ass. Sliding under her shirt to palm one of her breasts. I put a hand back in her hair long enough to drag her into another kiss and lose myself into it until I realize how wet our fingers are. We both moan into her mouth as we think about tasting her again.

As it happens, Billy loves eating out his girlfriend. As soon as we feel her start to go languid in our grip, we’re squatting in front of her. We only pause long enough to drag her to a better angle before we dive in with gusto. It doesn’t take much after that for her thighs to clench around our head as we happily suck at her clit. Two fingers and a little curl have her arching her back before falling limp. I’m glad we wiped the counter down and did dishes as we cooked.

At least the rest of the night manages to pass uneventfully and we tuck in early to beat any morning traffic on the trip, hopefully, home.

The following morning moves far too fast for my comfort and I can feel myself retreating as far away as possible from what might be inevitable as the hours drag on. I don’t even try to make breakfast, both of them gulping down slightly stale cereal from the cabinets with their franken-coffees. Before I want to be, we’re all standing at the now packed SUV and staring.

“We double-checked for everything?” Billy asks nervously, hands twitching in his hoodie pockets. “All of… of everyone’s stuff?”

Angie just nods, chewing hard at her bottom lip in the corner of our eye. “All the lights and appliances off?”

“Yeah,” Billy says dryly. I can feel him shuffle through the mess of tasks for leaving a vacation rental for anything that might delay the moment. “Keys on the counter?”

“Both sets. Doors are locked too.” Silence falls for a moment before Angie pats at a pocket and deflates a little. “Got the car keys.” Silence again.

“Please just get in the fucking car,” I whine with a roll of our eyes. “We can’t keep putting this off.” Holding our head up a little higher, I stride to the front driver’s side door and pause before I scurry around to the passenger’s side instead. Billy and Angie both giggle as we clamber in and she starts the engine.

In our weird shared mind space, I finally let Billy find me and hold me as the miles begin to rumble by. It distracts us both enough that we don’t notice leaving the reserve’s lands and drift off long before we even hit the highway. Neither of us notice anything until a nearby car horn blares and we jerk awake in bumper to bumper traffic. Angie’s snarling like she might leap through the windshield and claw the other drivers to death. I’m pretty sure she could if she tried. She spares a glance for a quick once-over and her expression softens.

“Good morning, sleepyhead. Welcome to hell.” Angie glares as a car a few lengths ahead jerkily moves itself into our column. Billy just groans and I stare wide-eyed at our surroundings. No trees. Well, still trees. Still very much trees as we continue descending the mountain. But not just trees! Road! Cars! People! Signs for… historic bridges and cannibalism? Maybe it wasn’t all great. But it wasn’t where I died!

“I’m out,” I say quietly, tears brimming in our eyes. Billy sits us up a little straighter and cracks a massive grin. “I’m out!” Angie doesn’t take her eyes off the road but she’s smiling too.

“Good,” Billy hums, curling up in the seat again and pulling me close so we both nod off. “I can’t wait to get you home.”
